You can bet your bottom dollar the Italians will respond after their lack luster performance vs the Dutch and win this one easily...I even like the -1.5 aswell....good luck to anybody who pounds them with me!!!!!!!!!!!

Careful here. I have Italy to win also, but I wouldn't be surprised at all to see a good performance out of Romania to pull out a tie. Romania is a better team than people realize. Remember this team finished ahead of the Dutch (the same team that embarrassed Italy) in qualifiers including a win over them.

Don't underestimate this squad.

Donadoni has said he will make 3-4 changes tomorrow. Two of those will def be Del Piero an Chiellini. Chiellini will partner Panucci at the centre of defence with Zambrotta on the right and Grosso on the left. Hopefully De Rossi will come in for Ambrosini and Aquilani for Gatusso. The Roman duo are much better technically and are the future midfield for Italy and need to be allowed to play. Del Piero will probably replace Di Natale and play more centrally behind Toni.
Italy can get the win tomorrow but it will be hard because I fully expect Romania to play as defensively as they did against France.

Forza Ragazzi!!!

if you believe Italy will win, then brothers, moneyline France is an early option to be coupled with the Azzurri. Italian footbal on these tournaments carries one primary philosophy: Never ever lose the first game. They played like shit in game one for various reasons:

  • Relying on history to keep their unbeaten streak against Holland.
  • A biased line-up filled with fucking aging old men

Chiellini is on the squad because he requires the baptism of fire on the international level. He is there for Juventus growth and not Italian National presence. I may be half nuts, but the following is clear:

Juventus/Inter/Ac M will win scudetto for the next year, but they will do it withou home grown midfield. Roma will suffer next year because they just don't have the Pirelli cash (I prefer Yokohamas anyhow), but midfield of Aquilani / De Rossi is the best midfield options available for Italy. All home grown and sitting on the bench.
Roma will lock these two for 5 years. If sale of team happens, they become much like a Iron Ore mining stock, sign today and sell tomorrow to the EPL.

check your starting 11 before making a wager on Italy, and check your wallet as well.

Another reason for Italy to win is that this female presenter for MTV Italy has promised to take her clothes if Italy beat Romania!

http://www.gazzetta.it/Speciali/Europei/2008/Primo_Piano/2008/06_Giugno/12/santarelli.shtml

But she is almost naked anyway in that pic. And there are thousands
of free pics on the internet as hot as her, and fully naked. Furthermore,
these guys get all the free hot pussy they want anyway. And that is
in bed with them, not just in a photo!

on the money

M.A. as usual u crack me up. If it's true that "algerians" will beat dutchmen today, is also true that we will have half of the population living in my country, routing for Romania, and consider another 1/4 is from Morocco, Algeria etc etc which leave me, and very very few others (the italians) afraid to wear the azzurri tshirt today. U never know....I have to pass in front of at least two rom/gipsies camps, and several blocks where hoes and drugs sales are runned by the happy algerian/morocco/albania community , before get to work. They already took over the Country,....will they take it over on the green field as well? Hopefully not my friend, hopefully not. :nohead:
